Studio Overhill is an Interior and Product Design studio founded by twin sisters Sarah and Rachel Klein. A bit of a love letter, it takes its name from the street where their father’s childhood home still stands — a house designed by their architect grandfather, Milton Klein, and one that has always felt less like a structure and more like a member of the family.
Built in 1964, the house has seen a lot of life. Its floors have softened with time, its walls have held decades of conversations, celebrations, and quiet afternoons. Rooms have shifted, furniture has come and gone, light has changed with the seasons — yet it always greets you with a steady “welcome home”.
That living history shaped the sisters’ understanding of design early on: that a home is not static, but responsive; not just built, but nurtured.
Studio Overhill approaches each project with that same belief — that spaces are living things. They should gather layers, adapt over time, and reflect the people who inhabit them. Every interior and object they create is guided by the hope that it, too, might one day feel like part of the family.
